The Kiosk Project envisions a 2050 network of civic hubs across Iowa designed to counter voter apathy and foster engagement. These kiosks, deployed in downtown areas, aim to boost turnout by making democratic participation accessible, visible, and communal.

Drawing on American iconography, the design substitutes the flag with copper and glass tubes, balancing transparency and privacy, and a glowing spire in place of a flagpole. A semi-circular layout encourages interaction while preserving individual privacy and offering views outward.

More than voting stations, the kiosks function as micro civic centers, providing access to libraries, job sites, and email, integrating democratic action into daily life.
